Ligia Ruscu was born in 1967. She studied History at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj and was awarded a Doctorate in History in 2001. She currently teaches Ancient History at the Babes-Bolyai University. She has published three books: The External Relations of the Greek Cities on the Romanian Shore of the Black Sea (2002), Corpus Inscriptionum Graecarum Dacicarum (2003), Handbook for the History of the Hellenistic Age (2009) and numerous articles on ancient history. A Morning at the Hunt is her first novel.
